HOW LONG WILL THE PRODUCTS KEEP?

As long as they are kept unopened and refrigerated, our krauts should stay good 6-8 months. Since fermentation continues, they will lose texture and change flavor after that. Once opened, they are best consumed within 2 weeks.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE?

Yep to both. Our products are made using only fresh, raw produce, salt and spices. There is no dairy or gluten anywhere in the processing area.

MY KRAUT IS BUBBLING. IS THAT OK?

Bubbling is ok. Because these products are constantly fermenting, they may start to bubble a bit if they warm up. The natural acidity of fermentation keeps bad bacteria from forming. If the brine no longer covers the kraut, add a little filtered water to keep it submerged.

IF I WARM UP MY KRAUT, WILL THE GOOD BACTERIA ALL DIE?

Since heat will kill bacteria, even the good stuff, Jenifermented products have the most nutritive value if eaten cold, but yes, you can enjoy them warm. Just heat right before you are ready to serve, and you'll still get all the benefits.
